From North of San Jose via 280 and 85 (preferred route)

  1. Be humming down 280 South
  2. Pass people left and right as fast as you can (JUST KIDDING!)
  3. Keep on going past 380, past Millbrae, past 92, past Palo Alto
  4. You should see signs for 85 -- this is your cue to move to the right lane!
  5. Be in the lane 2nd from the right as soon as the exit for 85 comes up
  6. Take exit for 85 South (to Gilroy)
  7. Cruise down 85 until you see a junction for 880/17 (Oakland/Santa Cruz)
  8. This is your cue to move towards the right.
  9. Pass the "Union" exit, and be in the rightmost lane that isn't exit-only
  10. Exit at Camden, but stay left -- you want to turn left at Camden
  11. Once on Camden, the next light is Kooser where you'll make a left.
  12. After four "School XING" signs, is Dartmouth where you should turn right
  13. Turn left at the first street: Princeton
  14. Two more streets and turn right at Yale (the signs are on the left)
  15. Number 5554 is on the left.

From South of San Jose via 101 North to 85 North (preferred route)

  1. Get on 101 North (for you SLO/LA people, I hope you filled up and used the bathroom!)
  2. Drive for a couple hours.
  3. Feel free to hit the In'N'Out in Salinas, but there's one in San Jose near us, too!
  4. Getting close once you hit Gilroy.
  5. Get on 85 North to Mountain View
  6. Watch for the Almaden exit; that's your cue to move over
  7. Exit Camden and be in the left lane to turn left to Camden
  8. Clever readers will skip to step 11 on the NORTH Directions.

From East Bay via 880 to 85 South (preferred route)

  1. Get on 880 South..er.. West...er.. towards Santa Cruz, away from Oakland
  2. Get angry at traffic past Montague Expressway (grrr)
  3. Pass the 280 Merge and go through Campbell past Hamilton
  4. You'll see the Camden exitl that's your cue to move over
  5. Exit to 85 Gilroy -- be in the second from the right
  6. Stay to the left on the offramp/onramp to 85
  7. Now, jump to step 9 on the NORTH Directions.
