Monday Sledging

Another week, another Monday workout. Normal PB&J workout, normal 10-15 ascending set alternating 8,10lbs along with a 5-count burpee set after every interval. Workout was fast comparatively at 28:50 and HRM says average was 138 with a max of 156. I think that average should have been higher because there were a couple moments when my heartrate was registering as 110 or less. The HRM strap works by sensors on either side of the heart, and it requires the conductors be a little wet to read the heart’s beats. I’m guessing because of the cold weather this morning I hadn’t really been sweating enough and so it wasn’t picking up my heartbeat correctly in the first interval or two. Next time I’ll need to warm up a little more or moisten the sensors a bit.
